At long last, Life is Strange has made its way to Android devices, and it even comes with controller support. Life is Strange made its debut on iOS last December, so Android fans have had to be quite patient.

The Fox and the Bramble
heresysoft.com
If you can keep up with dither then I salute you. Heck, you probably deserve some kind of medal.

It's similar to Pipe Mania, except it has no patience and wants you to move quicker, quicker, quicker.

As with that 1989 puzzle game, dither has you connecting a series of pipes by using randomly generated pipe pieces. You tap to change the direction the piping travels in, using arrows for guidance to the next pipe you need to connect to.

It's not too bad to start off with, but once you've climbed up the vertical void a little it starts to get ridiculous.

Faster, faster, faster: you meander from pipe to pipe, trying to steer your path of pipes between them as best you can.

Apple's latest Special Event wasn't exactly big on games, but it did show off Directive Games' rather lovely looking AR game Galaga AR.

A revamp of the retro classic, Galaga AR has you moving around in the real world trying to shoot down enemies and score huge points. There's also multiplayer functionality, if you happen to have some buddies with an ARKit 2 phone.

It honestly looks like a bit of silly fun, but not exactly a killer app for to sell the new iPhone XS and XS Max. Still, if you've got some mates and enough room, it could be a laugh.

Galaga AR is also just the first game in Directive's planned "AR Arcade" series, though no further titles were announced. AR Pac-Man seems like a safe bet though. Everyone loves Pac-Man.

You can expect Galaga AR to drop on the App Store later this year. We're not sure on the exact date or the pricing, but we'll let you know when we find out more.

Is Sony working on a glove controller? NeoGAF user Rösti seems to think so and has highlighted three detailed patent applications numbered 14/517733, 14/517741, and 14/503275.

Between the three patents the patents account for everything you would expect from a VR controller which would almost definitely be paired up with the companies PlayStation VR head mounted display.

While I want to holler "Powerglove!" out of my nearest window, it seems to be solely for the purpose of hand tracking, with a bunch of illuminated points for camera tracking, similar to the Playstation Move.

Here's the coolest thing: the gloves main purpose is to create "a virtual hand in a view of a virtual environment" with it acting in accordance with your finger positioning. This is useful if you need to say, swing a sword or point a gun.

From the look of things, the glove will have flex and pressure sensors on each individual finger as well as sensors to detect when your fingers are touching your palms or each other.

Obviously the best case scenario is for haptic feedback - allowing you to juggle objects with actual heft or actually grip a virtual doorknob and feel it in your hands. There's no real detail here on these parts, although the patents do indicate that the glove would be attached to a bracelet which might house some additional gizmos.

Obviously filing a patent doesn't say anything about Sony's intent to produce a thing, more that they've designed an object; but we can dream, eh?
"Indeed, there's too much money going out of this Island to that same Eaton's," said Mrs. Lynde indignantly. She had strong views on the subject of octopus-like department stores, and never lost an opportunity of airing them. "And as for those catalogues of theirs, they're the Avonlea girls' Bible now, that's what. They pore over them on Sundays instead of studying the Holy Scriptures."
"The old Morgan place up at the Glen is for sale," said Gilbert, apropos of nothing in especial."By the way, I had a letter from Mr. Ford yesterday," said Anne. "He asked me to remember him kindly to you."
